In 1991, dedicated employees and industry experts founded MLW intermed Handels- und Consultinggesellschaft für Erzeugnisse und Ausrüstungen des Gesundheits- und Bildungswesens mbH. This milestone allowed the company to successfully continue and expand its long-standing tradition of delivering complete turnkey equipment for projects in the healthcare, education, research, and academia sectors.

We are an export company specializing in long-term export financing for overseas markets, with a primary focus on Latin America, where Brazil represents our most important market. In this region, we supply public sector clients with products from our traditional MLW portfolio (healthcare, research, and education), and to an increasingly significant extent with non-traditional solutions (public safety, administration & infrastructure, justice, and the protection of the environment, nature, and human habitats). The core of our business operations continues to consist of complex export projects, typically backed by long-term export financing structures.

Driving New and Future-Facing Concepts
The R&D activities of MLW intermed GmbH are geared toward delivering new and advanced product developments in instrument engineering, in strict alignment with specific market demands. In doing so, the company draws upon its extensive experience in precision engineering, electronics, and optics.
In close cooperation with the University of Potsdam, the company successfully developed two innovative instrument systems: a contamination spectrometer designed to identify contaminated dump substrate and oil residues in agricultural land and urban areas, and the REE-Explorer—a field-deployable system that uses active spectrometric measurements to determine the presence and concentration of rare earth oxides.
