B. Collection and storage of personal data as well as the type and purpose of its use
(1) In the following, we provide information about the collection of personal data when using our website. Personal data is all data that can be personally related to you, e.g., name, address, email addresses, user behavior.
(2) When you contact us by email or via a contact form, the data you provide (your email address, and if applicable, your name and phone number) and your message will be stored by us in order to answer your questions. The data arising in this context is processed by us on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR to handle your inquiry. We delete this data after storage is no longer required, or restrict its processing if statutory retention obligations apply.
(3) Should we rely on commissioned service providers for individual functions of our offer or wish to use your data for advertising purposes, we will inform you in detail about the respective processes below.
I. Collection of personal data when visiting our website
(1) In the case of merely informational use of the website, i.e., if you do not register or otherwise transmit information to us, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. If you wish to view our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display our website to you and to ensure stability and security. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR:
The following data is collected in this process:
– IP address
– Date and time of the request
– Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
– Content of the request (specific page)
– Access status/HTTP status code
– Volume of data transmitted in each case
– Website from which the request originates
– Browser
– Operating system and its interface
– Language and version of the browser software.
(2) The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose of its collection. In the case of data collection for the provision of the website, this is the case when the respective session has ended.
In the case of data storage in log files, this is the case after seven days at the latest. Storage beyond this period is possible. In this case, the IP addresses of the users are deleted or anonymized so that it is no longer possible to identify the calling client.
II. Use of cookies
(1) In order to enable the use of certain functions, we use so-called cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device, assigned to the browser you use, and through which certain information flows to the entity that sets the cookie (in this case, us). Cookies cannot execute programs or transmit viruses to your computer. They serve to make the overall website experience more user-friendly and effective.
(2) Some of the cookies we use are deleted immediately after you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your device and enable us to recognize your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies).
(3) You can delete all cookies stored on your device and set most common browsers to prevent cookies from being saved.
In this case, you may have to adjust some settings manually every time you visit this website and accept the impairment of certain functions.
III. Additional functions and offers of our website
(1) In addition to the merely informational use of our website, we offer various services that you can use if you are interested. To do so, you will generally need to provide additional personal data, which we use to provide the respective service and to which the aforementioned data processing principles apply.
(2) In some cases, we use external service providers to process your data. These have been carefully selected and commissioned by us, are bound by our instructions, and are monitored regularly.
IV. Analysis tools
Web analysis with Matomo
We use the open-source web analytics software Matomo to statistically record and optimize the use of the website. Matomo is operated on our own server, so that all collected data is stored exclusively there. A transfer of data to third parties does not take place.
Matomo uses so-called 'cookies', which are text files that are stored on your device and enable an analysis of the use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about the use of our website is stored exclusively on our server.
We use Matomo with the 'IP anonymization' setting. In this process, your IP address is shortened immediately after collection, so that no direct personal identification is possible.
The processing of data is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the statistical analysis of user behavior in order to improve our website technically and in terms of content.
You can object to the storage and analysis of your data by Matomo at any time. In this case, a so-called 'opt-out cookie' will be set, which prevents Matomo from storing session data. If you delete your cookies, you must reactivate the opt-out.
V. Use of social media plugins
We do not currently use any social media plugins (“plugins”) from social networks such as Facebook, X (formerly Twitter) or Instagram.
VI. Integration of Google Maps
(1) On this website, we use the services of Google Maps. This allows us to display interactive maps directly on the website and enable you to use the map function conveniently.
(2) By visiting our website, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. When using Google Maps, data—in particular your IP address and, if applicable, location data—can be transmitted to Google servers and processed there. This occurs regardless of whether you are logged into Google or do not have a user account. If you are logged into Google, your data will be directly assigned to your account. If you do not want this data to be associated with your Google profile, you must log out before using Google Maps.
(3) Google processes your data under its own data protection responsibility. Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by Google can be found in Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
The legal basis for the use of Google Maps is Art. 6 Para. 1 Sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.
VII. Contact form
If you send us an inquiry via our contact form, we will process the personal data you provide (e.g., name, email address, telephone number, and the content of your message) in order to process and answer your request. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If your inquiry is aimed at the conclusion or execution of a contract, the legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR.
We only store the data collected in this context for as long as is necessary to process your inquiry or as long as statutory retention periods exist. Your data will not be passed on to third parties unless this is necessary to process your inquiry (e.g., to service providers acting on our behalf) or we are legally obliged to do so.
The transmission of data via the contact form is encrypted using a secure connection (e.g., TLS/SSL) in order to protect your information from unauthorized access.
C. Data retention period
We store personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed or until a consent granted by you has been withdrawn. Insofar as statutory retention obligations must be observed, the storage period for certain data can be up to 10 years, regardless of the processing purposes.
D. Your rights as a data subject
I. Right of access
Upon request, you have the right to obtain access to all personal data stored about you at any time and free of charge.
II. Rectification, erasure, and restriction of processing
If you no longer agree to the storage of your personal data or if it has become incorrect, we will arrange for the deletion or blocking of your data or make the necessary corrections upon a corresponding instruction (insofar as this is possible under applicable law). The same applies if we are to process data only to a restricted extent in the future.
III. Data portability
Upon request, we will provide you with your data in a commonly used, structured, and machine-readable format, so that you can transfer the data to another controller if you wish.
IV. Right to lodge a complaint
There is a right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority of your habitual residence, your place of work, or our registered office for this purpose.
V. Right to withdraw consent with future effect
You can withdraw any consent granted at any time with future effect. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
VI. Restrictions
Data for which we are not in a position to identify the data subject, for example, if it has been anonymized for analysis purposes, is not covered by the aforementioned rights. Access, erasure, blocking, correction, or transfer to another company may be possible with respect to this data if you provide us with additional information that allows us to identify you.
VII. Right to object
Insofar as your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR, provided that there are grounds arising from your particular situation or if the objection is directed against direct marketing. In the latter case, you have a general right to object, which will be implemented by us without the need to specify a particular situation.
VIII. Exercising your data subject rights
If you have any questions regarding the processing of your personal data, or in the event of access, rectification, blocking, objection, or erasure of data, or the wish to transfer the data to another company, please contact
